Can you stop it? Well, you can’t stop prices from increasing due to many of the reasons out of your control but there are some things you can do to help.
Be ethical. Help your friends be ethical. Don’t pretend to be injured when you are not…like you probably didn’t get a cold from a car accident. It’s just not going to work and the cost of an insurance adjuster to review medical records, obtain statements from various parties, and complete paperwork costs money. Now if you really want to turn in your receipt because you broke a few nails and you just paid to have your nails done, I’m not saying things shouldn’t be fair because they absolutely should be and it’s up to the adjuster to determine what is covered and what is not. We are thankful that’s not our job.
